When the silence after a four-legged friend becomes profound, there is a need for a symbol that honors the bond that never breaks. NÄRA (Swedish for "Close") is not a traditional urn; it is a handcrafted memorial designed to remain where life was lived: near the family, in a favorite corner, or on a sunlit windowsill.
The concept for NÄRA was born from personal loss and the desire to create a dignified, beautiful home for a missed friend. The design language is inspired by nature's protective seed pods—a timeless form that holds both sorrow and love. By combining secure storage with an integrated candle holder, it facilitates a daily ritual where the flame spreads warmth, just as your companion once did.
Each piece is a unique work of art, hand-thrown by me in my studio in Vallentuna, Sweden. I work with durable stoneware clay, featuring a matte, tactile surface where subtle variations in form and glaze reflect the unique spirit of your pet.

The Process
I strive to make this process as simple and comforting as possible during a difficult time:
Order: Select the size that best fits your companion.
Personalization: At checkout, enter your pet's name and years in the message field.
Craftsmanship: I carve the details by hand before the urn undergoes its final firing.
Delivery: Your urn is carefully packaged and shipped. Delivery time is approximately 4 weeks, as each piece is uniquely created for you.
Size Guide
As the volume of ashes varies, I offer three sizes to ensure a proper fit:
Small (approx. 0.5 liters): For cats and smaller companions, or for those who wish to keep only a portion of the ashes.
Medium (approx. 1.5–2 liters): Suitable for most dogs, up to approximately 40 kg.
Large (approx. 2.75 liters): For larger dog breeds, up to approximately 80 kg.
